I went to lunch today with a colleague and took him to a restaurant in the city that has a rooftop terrace and bar. Being new to the city, I thought he’d appreciate the view as it was one of the first clear, fog and rainless days we’d had in months. We stepped out onto the terrace and had a perfect view in every direction. The Firth of Forth was deep blue and tipped with sunlight. The castle was without the usual mist. Down below people weaved past the busy shops and ferreted through the crowds, each trying to make the most of their lunch hours. As we looked around us, I realised how nice it felt to be able to share something pleasant with someone who hadn’t seen it before.
So, today, try describing a view. Go to the window, take a walk, drive around the block or cycle in the park. Pick a spot and let us see it. Colours, textures, buildings or trees, flowers or desert, blue skies, grey or star covered night. Whatever you do, include as much details as possible. Try to do it in 1,000 words or less.
Today’s Prompt: A Perfect View
