Writing Prompt: Who’s Story is it Anyway?

I’ve been working on a long piece of fiction and have been struggling with point of view. The story revolves around two main characters, but I’m having trouble deciding who’s story it really belongs to. One way to test the narrative and see which point of view is going to be the most effective is to draft a key scene in the point of view of each character.

Writing Prompt:Write a scene focusing on the point of view of one character, then rewrite it from the point of view of another. How does it effect the scene and the possible movement of the story.  Which character are you going to follow to keep the action moving? Try it with a short scene of around max 500 words. Turn it around and see what happens.
